Cleanliness, order, a lot of space, nice interior design, availability of table tennis, safes, fair price and convenient location.
Mosquitoes, stuffy in the room, the cafe was expensive

Everything was fine. We loved the vibe of the place — and the terrace on the roof too.

The location is perfect, the roof terrace is heavenly, well equipped and with very nice views. They have very good information about the local attractions or transportation and the staff is very helpfull and speaks good english. The food (chinese and western) was very tasty and decent priced. The room was big. The atmosphere is great. They sell t-shirts with "the hump across himalyas" for y 35.
We booked an en-suite twin room, and the only way to heat it was trough electric blankets. An air-conditioning would have been more comfortable as we felt a little cold in mid-November. The bathroom is separated by the room with walls that don't go all the way to the ceiling, they are half meter smaller. So, tough the walls separate bathroom visually, they don't audio/smells.

The Atmosphaere and the Terrace to sit outside.
We came and they had no booking about our double room, we had to take a 3 bed room for a much higher price !!! Next day we changed, when we changed the window was open, I closed it, when we came back, the smell was terrible and than I saw why, every where 'Black Mold" , so we had to keep the window wide open, the hole time. We checked other rooms, but everywhere the same, this is not very healthy ! Take a look at my pictures , than you understand :-) All in all, I would come back after renovation !!!

it was conveniently located.
The convenient location also made it very noisy, in fact earplugs were supplied. Staff were a little jaded as was the cleanliness of the common areas,

I like the lively atmsphere. The breakfast menu is good. The complimentary coffee and beer coupons is a pleasant surprise. The Hump seems to be the starting and ending point for travellers to Yunnan (esp to Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-la) The roof top terrace provide a cosy place to relax and unwind after a hectic tour of Yunnan. The large number of western travellers too give the indication that its overall standard is good.
Having to cart my heavy luggage up to the third floor is pretty exhausting! Wifi coverage does not reach the rooms. Lighting in the corridor leading to the rooms could be brighter.
